I Have Appointed You
Making the Most of Our “Divine Appointments”

At the Last Supper, Jesus told his disciples, “It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain” (John 15:16, emphasis added). Not only was he telling them that he had set them apart to bear fruit, but he was also telling them that they would each experience a series of divine “appointments.” He was telling them that they would each meet people with whom they should share his good news.
