I was only thirteen years old when my father died, and the only neighbor who came to console and pray with my mother was the pastor of the small Methodist church across the street. To our shame, up until that time, we had never even met him. That was the first time in my life that I felt a desire for Christian unity. But it didn’t end there. Together with my husband, Kevin, promoting ecumenism has become a lifelong work.
