The Season of the Spirit
The Book of Acts show us how to get ready for Pentecost
Fifty days. That’s only 14 percent of one year. One and three-quarters of a month. Just over one-half of a season like spring or summer. That’s how long the Easter season is. That’s how much time we have between Easter, when we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, and Pentecost, when we are invited to receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
That’s not a lot of time. So it’s a good thing that we will spend the next fifty days reading through the Acts of the Apostles at Mass....
