The Role of Faith in Healing

Your faith has made you well.” No statement of Jesus’ appears more often in the Gospels. No saying is more characteristic of his healing miracles. He said it to the woman with a hemorrhage (Matthew 9:22), to the sinful woman who wept on his feet (Luke 7:50), to the one man with leprosy who returned to give thanks for his healing (17:19), and to Bartimaeus, who was blind (Mark 10:52). He said something similar to the Canaanite woman whose daughter was troubled by a demon (Matthew15:28) and to the centurion with the paralyzed servant (8:13).
